Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Pontiac Montana SV6, 2006 Chevrolet Uplander, and 2006 Buick Terraza. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Install the fuel fill pipe assembly.
  2. Install the fuel fill hose to the fuel tank (4).
    3. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Tighten the fuel fill hose clamp (5) at the fuel tank.

    Tighten:   Tighten the bolts to 2.5 Nm (22 lb in).

  4. Connect the fuel fill pipe vapor recirculation pipe (2) quick connect fitting to the fuel tank vapor recirculation hose (3). Refer toPlastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  5. Install the fuel fill pipe bracket bolt (1).

    Tighten:   Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

  6. Install the fuel fill pipe shield.
  7. Install the fuel fill pipe shield retainers.
  8. Lower the vehicle.

  9. Install the fuel fill pipe to fuel fill pocket bolts.

    Tighten:   Tighten the bolts to 2.5 Nm (22 lb in).

  10. Refill the fuel tank.
  11. Install the fuel fill cap.
  12. Inspect for fuel leaks.
