Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement (Long Wheel Base) .
  2. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge pipe (6) from the EVAP canister (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  3. Remove the EVAP canister purge pipe from the fuel tank retainer.
  4. Disconnect the EVAP canister vent solenoid pipe from the EVAP canister (2) and EVAP canister vent solenoid (3). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  5. Remove the EVAP canister vent solenoid pipe from the fuel tank.
  6. Disconnect the EVAP pipe assembly from the EVAP canister (2) and fuel sender module (4). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  7. Remove the EVAP pipe assembly from the fuel tank.
