Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in SIR.
  2. Remove the lower trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .
  3. Remove the tilt lever spring (2).
  4. Remove the retaining bolt (3) from the tilt lever.

  5. Remove the tilt lever (1).
