Diagnostic Aids

- Inspect the PSD contact plungers and corresponding B-pillar contact plate pads for the following conditions prior to performing the test steps:
- Proper door plunger operation.
- Clean electrical contact from the door plungers to the B-pillar contact pads.
- Proper alignment of the door plungers to the B-pillar contact pads.
- While performing step 2 of the procedure, close the PSD only by manual operation. The PSD may re-open without being commanded if any other method is used to close the door.
- While performing both steps 2 and 3 of the procedure, follow the guidelines listed below in order to ensure accurate test results:
- Disable the PSD at the multifunction switch
- Manually close the door
- Use the keyless entry transmitter to open the door
