Diagnostic Aids

- If DTC B1294 is accompanied by DTC B1293, perform the DTC B1293 diagnostic table before performing this table.
- Prior to performing the diagnostic table test steps, inspect the PSD plungers and corresponding B-Pillar pads for the following conditions:
- Proper door plunger operation.
- Clean electrical contact from the door plungers to the B-pillar pads.
- Proper alignment of the door plungers to the B-pillar pads.
- If the ground circuit to the right PSD detent switch is open between splice S320 and body ground G302, the right PSD unlatch actuator and other components may also be inoperative. Other components affected may include the following:
- Right PSD jamb switch
- Power Seats
- Heated Seats
- Right front window and lock switches backlighting
- Right heated mirror, if equipped
