Circuit Description

The power sliding door control module (PSDM) uses the power sliding door (PSD) detent switch to determine when the door is latched, ajar or open. The detent switch is part of the sliding door rear lock assembly. The detent switch signal circuit is supplied 12 volts through a resistor within the module. The signal circuit is briefly pulled to ground as the door moves from latched to ajar while opening and from ajar to latched while closing. All PSD circuits are connected to the body harness through the contact plungers, which are mounted to the door and the contact plate pads, which are mounted to the B-pillar, whenever the plungers and pads are in contact with one another.
