Fan Shroud Replacement (LY7)

CAUTION: Keep hands, tools, and clothing away from the electric engine coolant fans in order to help prevent personal injury. These fans are electric and can turn on whether or not the engine is running. The fans can start automatically with the ignition in the ON position. CAUTION: An electric fan under the hood can start up even when the engine is not running and can injure you. Keep hands, clothing and tools away from any underhood electric fan. CAUTION: To help avoid personal injury or damage to the vehicle, a bent, cracked, or damaged fan blade or housing should always be replaced. CAUTION: Before servicing any electrical component, the ignition key must be in the OFF or LOCK position and all electrical loads must be OFF, unless instructed otherwise in these procedures. If a tool or equipment could easily come in contact with a live exposed electrical terminal, also disconnect the negative battery cable. Failure to follow these precautions may cause personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices. Fastener Tightening Specifications: Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications Preliminary Procedures Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (L26) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (LY7) . Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.6 L. Remove the engine mount struts. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Left and Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Right in Engine Mechanical - 3.6 L.
1	Bolt, Radiator Bracket Upper Support Tighten: 10 N.m (89 In. Lbs.)
2	Bracket, Radiator Upper Support
3	Bolt, Fan Shroud Tighten: 6 N.m (53 In. Lbs.)
4	Bolt, Fan Shroud Tighten: 6 N.m (53 In. Lbs.)
5	Shroud, Fan Tip: When replacing the fan shroud, remove the cooling fan motors. Refer to Cooling Fan Motor Replacement - Electric (LY7) or Cooling Fan Motor Replacement - Electric (L26) .
