Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the power steering pump from the vehicle, if necessary. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement (3.8L V6)  or Power Steering Pump Replacement (LY7) .
    2. Fig 1: Removing Power Steering Pump Drive Shaft Seal

    IMPORTANT: Protect the drive shaft with the shim stock.
  2. Use a small chisel in order to remove the seal.

    Discard the seal.
