Replacing Front Engine Mount Bracket: Installation

  1. Position the engine mount bracket to the engine.
  2. Connect the knock sensor harness connector and install the shield. Refer to Knock Sensor (KS) 2 Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.8L (L26 and L32).

  3. Install the rear engine mount bracket bolts to the engine. Hand tighten the bolts at this time.

  4. Install the front engine mount bracket bolts to the engine. Hand tighten the bolts at this time.
    5. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in General Information.
  5. Install the engine mount bracket bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 102 N.m (75 Ft. Lbs.).

  6. Install the engine mount. Refer to Replacing Engine Mount - Front .
  7. Install the A/C compressor to the engine. Refer to Compressor Replacement (L26) in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
  8. Install the drive belt. Refer to Replacing Drive Belt (L26) .
  9. Install the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement in Automatic Transaxle - 4T65-E.
