Installing Cylinder Head - Right: Installation

  1. Install the cylinder head gasket. Ensure the arrows point towards the front of the engine. The right cylinder head gasket has the letter R stamped next to the arrow.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Special Fastener Notice in General Information.
  2. Install the cylinder head.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in General Information.
  3. Install new cylinder head bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the cylinder head bolts to 50 N.m (37 Ft. Lbs.) in sequence. Using J 45059  rotate each cylinder head bolt an additional 120 degrees.
