Test Description
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Buick LaCrosse and 2006 Buick Allure. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
- 2: Listen for an audible click when the crank relay operates. Turn the ignition switch back and forth from the ON to START positions. Repeat this as necessary.
- 3: This step tests for voltage at the coil side of the crank relay. The PCM IGN fuse supplies power to the coil side of the crank relay.
- 4: This step verifies that the PCM is providing ground to the crank relay.
- 5: This step tests if ground is constantly being applied to the crank relay.
