Wiper Arm Pressure Check

  1. Remove the wiper blades from the wiper arms. Refer to Wiper Arm Blade Replacement .
  2. Attach a scale to the end of the wiper arm and measure the force required to lift the wiper arm to the following dimensions:
    • Driver side wiper arm 37.3 mm (1.5 in) off of the windshield.
    • Passenger side wiper arm 10.5 mm (0.4 in) off of the windshield.
  3. Replace the wiper arm if the measurement is not within the specification. Refer to Wiper Arm Replacement .

    Tip Pressure:  8-10 N (29-36 oz.)

  4. Install the wiper blades on the wiper arms. Refer to Wiper Arm Blade Replacement .
