2: During the heated seat relay operation, listen for an audible click from the relay. Repeat the commands, as necessary.
4: This step verifies that the BCM is providing voltage to the heated seat relay.
5: This step tests for an open in the ground circuit to the heated seat relay.

1	Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?	Go to Step 2	Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information
2	Install a scan tool. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. With a scan tool, navigate to the appropriate Driver or Passenger Heated Seat output control screen by making the following selections: Body and Accessories Seats Special functions Body control module (BCM) Miscellaneous tests Access the heated seat relay in order to verify operation. With a scan tool, command the appropriate heated seat ON and OFF. Does the heated seat relay turn ON and OFF with each command?	Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems	Go to Step 3
3	Turn OFF the ignition. Disconnect the heated seat relay. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. Connect a test lamp from the heated seat relay control circuit of the relay connector to ground. Does the test lamp illuminate?	Go to Step 9	Go to Step 4
4	Connect a test lamp between the heated seat relay control circuit and ground. With a scan tool, command the heated seat relay ON and OFF. Does the test lamp turn ON and OFF with each command?	Go to Step 5	Go to Step 6
5	Connect a test lamp between the heated seat relay control circuit to the ground circuit of the relay. With a scan tool, command the heated seat relay ON and OFF. Does the test lamp turn ON and OFF with each command?	Go to Step 7	Go to Step 10
6	Test the heated seat relay control circuit of the heated seat relay for a short to ground or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing andWiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 13	Go to Step 8
7	Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the heated seat relay. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 13	Go to Step 11
