Removal Procedure

- Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
- Remove the front seat head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
- Position the front seat to the full forward and the full-up position.
- Remove the bolts from the rear of the seat adjuster.
- Remove the nut from the front seat belt bracket, on the door side of the seat.
- Tip the seat forward, remove the position assurance pin (2), and disconnect the pretensioner electric connector (1).
- Disconnect the electrical body harness from the seat.
- Tilt the seat forward and slide the seat back to disengage the adjuster hooks holding the seat to the floor pan.
- Remove the front seat from the vehicle.

IMPORTANT:
The front seat is equipped with a seat belt pretensioner. Disable the pretensioner before you perform any work on the seat.
