Component Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Buick LaCrosse and 2008 Buick Allure. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the WIPER Relay.
  2. Test for 60-200 ohms between terminals G14 and E15.
    • If the resistance is not within the specified range, replace the relay.
  3. Test for infinite resistance between the following terminals:
    • G15 and E15
    • G15 and E14
    • G14 and G14
    • G15 and E14
  4. Test for less than 2 ohms between terminals G15 and F14.
    • If greater than the specified range, replace the relay.
  5. Install a 10A fused jumper wire between relay terminal G14 and 12 volts. Install a jumper wire between relay terminal E15 and ground. Test for less than 2 ohms between terminals G15 and E14.
    • If greater than the specified range, replace the WIPER Relay.
