Low Washer Fluid Indicator

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Buick LaCrosse and 2008 Buick Allure. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The low washer fluid indicator is located in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). Ground is applied at all times from G100 through the windshield washer fluid level switch, to the low washer fluid indicator signal circuit to the body control module (BCM). When the washer fluid is low, ground is removed from the low washer fluid indicator signal circuit to the BCM. The BCM then applies a message along the class 2 serial data circuit to the IPC. The IPC then illuminates the low washer fluid indicator.
