Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the theft deterrent exciter.
  2. Verify a test lamp does not illuminate between the B+ circuit terminal A and ground.
    • If the test lamp illuminates, test the B+ circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM.
  3. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the theft deterrent exciter.
