Removal Procedure

IMPORTANT: Clean the evaporative emission (EVAP) connections and surrounding areas prior to disconnecting the line in order the avoid possible system contamination.

  1. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the EVAP canister purge solenoid electrical connector (1).

  4. Disconnect the EVAP line (2) from the purge solenoid. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  6. Disconnect the EVAP canister purge tube from the solenoid. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  8. Remove the EVAP canister purge solenoid from the bracket.
