Installation Procedure

  1. Install the coolant recovery reservoir to the lower retainer and the shock tower studs.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the nuts to the shock tower studs.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 3.3 N.m (29 lb in).

  3. Lubricate the reservoir hose with clean water. Install the coolant reservoir hose to the radiator overflow hose.
  4. Position the coolant reservoir hose clamp to the radiator overflow hose fitting.
  5. Install the front fender upper diagonal brace. Refer to Front Fender Upper Diagonal Brace Replacement .
  6. Fill the coolant recovery reservoir to the proper level. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (L26, LY7 GE 47716 Fill)  or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L26 Static Fill)  or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LY7 Static Fill)  or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LS4 GE47716 Fill)  or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LS4 Static Fill) .
