Removal Procedure

IMPORTANT:
Removal of the intake manifold is NOT required to service the coolant air bleed pipe, but is required to service the coolant air bleed pipe covers and/or gaskets.
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (L26, LY7 GE 47716 Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L26 Static Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LY7 Static Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LS4 GE47716 Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LS4 Static Fill) .
- Remove the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement .
- Disconnect the hose clamp and hose from the coolant fill neck.
- Remove the coolant air bleed pipe bolts (309).
- Remove the coolant air bleed pipe (307) with hose and seals (308).
- Remove the hose (311) and clamps (322) from the coolant air bleed pipe (307) as required.
- Remove the engine coolant air bleed cover bolts (312).
- Remove the covers (313) with seals (308).
- Remove the seals (308) from the pipe and covers. Discard the seals.
