Removal Procedure

CAUTION:

- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Relieve cable tension at the park brake equalizer.
- Disconnect the front cable from the connector (2).
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the left side closeout/insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side .
- Remove the left side front carpet retainer. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement .
- Disconnect the electrical connector at the park brake switch.
- Remove the 3 park brake pedal assembly retaining nuts from the body mounting studs.
- Remove the retaining clip and disconnect the cable from the clevis.
- Use a 13 mm box-end wrench to release and remove the cable from the bracket on the pedal assembly.
- Remove the park brake pedal assembly.
