Circuit Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Buick LaCrosse and 2008 Buick Allure. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Traction control is simultaneously controlled by the electronic brake control module (EBCM) and the powertrain control module (PCM)/engine control module (ECM). The PCM/ECM sends DELIVERED TORQUE message via a Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) signal to the PCM/ECM confirming the delivered torque level for proper Traction Control system operation. The EBCM supplies the pull up voltage.
