Installation Procedure

  1. Install the manual 2-1 band servo (106-116).

  3. Install the accumulator assembly.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  5. Install the manual 2-1 band servo cover bolts (103).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  6. Install the accumulator cover bolts (131).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

  7. Install the filter. Refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid Filter and Seal Replacement .
  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. IMPORTANT: It is recommended that transmission adaptive pressure (TAP) information be reset.
    Resetting the TAP values using a scan tool will erase all learned values in all cells. As a result, The ECM, PCM or TCM will need to relearn TAP values. Transmission performance may be affected as new TAP values are learned.
  10. Reset the TAP values. Refer to Transmission Adaptive Functions .
