Installation Procedure

  1. Position the power steering cooler hose to the vehicle.
  2. Clip the power steering cooler hose to any front frame retainers as needed.

  4. Install the power steering cooler hose to the power steering pump.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  6. Install the power steering cooler hose to the steering gear.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fitting to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

  7. Clean any excess fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
  8. Install the right front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  9. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (L26) .
  10. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
