Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LY7) .
  2. Disconnect the pulley from the generator.
  3. Remove the right engine mount strut and radiator support bracket from the right engine mount strut bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Right Side .
  4. Remove the generator bolts from the generator.
  5. Move the generator off to the side to provide access to the engine mount strut bracket bolts.

  7. Remove the engine mount strut bracket bolts from the cylinder head.
  8. Remove the right engine mount strut bracket from the vehicle.
