Installation Procedure

  1. Install the generator bracket to the stud.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the generator bracket bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  3. Raise the vehicle.
  4. Install the lower generator bracket bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  5. Install the lower tensioner bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  6. Lower the vehicle.
  7. Install the idler pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement .
  8. Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (L26)  or Generator Replacement (LY7)  or Generator Replacement (LS4) .
