Removal Procedure

NOTE: Use care when handling the coolant sensor. Damage to the coolant sensor will affect the operation of the fuel control system.
  1. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (L26, LY7 GE 47716 Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L26 Static Fill)
  2. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector.
  3. Fig 1: Identifying ECT Sensor

  4. Remove the ECT sensor.
