Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear door to vehicle.
    2. Fig 1: Identifying Rear Door Hinge Bolts

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the rear door top intermediate bolt to the door hinge.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).

  3. Install the rear door lower hinge bolts (1) to the door side (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).

  4. Remove the rear door support.
  5. Install the rear door rubber conduit. Refer to Rear Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  6. Install the rear door electrical harness.
  7. Connect the rear door wiring harness.
  8. Install the rear door window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  9. Install the rear door window channel retainer. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Channel Retainer Replacement .
  10. Install the rear door window weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement .
  11. Install the rear door outside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  12. Install the rear door lock. Refer to Rear Door Lock Replacement .
  13. Install the rear door window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement .
  14. Install the rear door inner sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  15. Install the rear door outer sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  16. Install the front of the rear door frame applique and the rear. Refer to Rear Door Frame Applique Replacement .
  17. Install the rubber conduit. Refer to Rear Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  18. Install the rear door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  19. Install the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  20. Adjust the rear door. Refer to Rear Door Adjustment .
  21. Close the rear door.
  22. Remove the masking tape from the rear door edges.
