Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (L26, LY7 GE 47716 Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L26 Static Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LY7 Static Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LS4 GE47716 Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LS4 Static Fill) .
  2. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
  3. Fig 1: View Of Heater Inlet Hose At Pipe Adapter

  4. Remove the heater outlet hose from the pipe adapter.
  5. Use J 38185  in order to position aside the heater hose clamp.

  7. Remove the heater outlet adapter pipe mounting bolt.
  8. Remove the heater outlet adapter pipe.
