Installation Procedure

  1. Lubricate the O-ring with coolant.

  3. Install the heater pipe adapter.
  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  5. Install the heater pipe adapter mounting bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  7. Connect the heater inlet hose to the pipe adapter.
  8. Use J 38185  in order to secure the heater core hose clamp.
  9. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
  10. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (L26, LY7 GE 47716 Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L26 Static Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LY7 Static Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LS4 GE47716 Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LS4 Static Fill) .
