Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (L26, LY7 GE 47716 Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L26 Static Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LY7 Static Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LS4 GE47716 Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LS4 Static Fill) .
  2. Fig 1: Identifying Heater Inlet Hose At Heater Pipe

  3. Use J 38185  to reposition the heater inlet hose clamp at the heater pipe.
  4. IMPORTANT: Cap or plug the cooling components to prevent system contamination.
  5. Remove the heater inlet hose (1) from the heater pipe.

  7. Use J 38185  to reposition the heater inlet hose clamp at the heater core.
  8. Remove the heater inlet hose (1) from the heater core.
