Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (L26, LY7 GE 47716 Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L26 Static Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LY7 Static Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LS4 GE47716 Fill) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LS4 Static Fill) .
  2. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
  3. Fig 1: View Of Heater Hose To Heater Core

  4. Use J 38185  in order to position aside the heater hose inlet clamp at the pipe adapter.
  5. Disconnect the heater inlet hose from the pipe adapter.
  6. Remove the heater hose from the support bracket.
  7. Use J 38185  in order to position aside the heater core inlet hose clamp.
  8. Disconnect the heater inlet hose from the heater core.
