Audible Warnings Description and Operation: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Buick LaCrosse and 2008 Buick Allure. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Audible warnings alert the driver of a system concern or a critical vehicle condition. The radio or the chime module (export) generates the audible warnings. If the radio or chime module receives multiple audible warning requests, the warning with the highest priority sounds first. The following lists the audible warning priority and the pulse rate:

  1. Fast rate chime (180 pulses per minute)
  2. Medium rate chime (120 pulses per minute)
  3. Slow rate chime (60 pulses per minute)
  4. Single chime
