Circuit/System Testing

- The PPS module
- The SDM module
- The PPS wiring harness connector
- The SDM wiring harness connector
- Check to see if the PPS was replaced. Verify the correct PPS was installed.
- If the wrong PPS was installed, replace with the correct PPS.
- Check to see if the SDM was replaced. Verify the correct SDM was installed.
- If the wrong SDM was installed, replace with the correct SDM.
- Check to see if DTC B1001 is set. Verify DTC B1001 is not set.
- If the connector for the PPS is damaged, the PPS must be replaced.
- If DTC B1001 is current go to DTC B1001 .
- Replace the PPS. Ignition ON, use the scan tool to clear the DTCs then recheck for DTC B0098. Verify DTC B0098 does not set.
- If DTC B0098 resets then replace the SDM.

When removing connectors inspect for damage or corrosion. Damage or corrosion in the following requires repair or replacement of the affected component/connector.
