Circuit/System Testing

IMPORTANT: If DTC resets after rezeroing, it may be necessary to perform this rezeroing procedure several times.
  1. Remove the PPS and passenger seat bottom cushion assembly and allow to air dry (approximately 48 hours).
  2. Reinstall the PPS and seat bottom cushion assembly.
  3. Ignition ON, use the scan tool to clear all SIR and PPS DTCs. Rezero the PPS, refer to Passenger Presence System Rezeroing .
  4. Verify DTC 034 does not exist as current, refer to Passenger Presence System Flash Code Procedures .
    • If DTC 034 resets as current, replace the PPS.
