Removal Procedure

Fig 1: Damper Cord Loop At I/P Support

Remove the right instrument panel (I/P) insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right .
Open the I/P compartment.
Release the loop of the damper cord (1) from the I/P support.
Remove the screws from the I/P compartment hinge.

Press inward on both sides of the I/P compartment housing and rotate down and out of the I/P.
