Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor Installation

    IMPORTANT: Follow the procedure sequence in order to prevent drive belt mis-alignment and/or possible damage/distortion to the components.

  1. Place the A/C compressor in position to the cylinder block.
  2. Loosely install the A/C compressor bolts (1, 3) and nut (2).
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Tighten the A/C compressor front bolt (3).

    Tighten:  Tighten the A/C compressor front bolt (3) to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  4. Tighten the A/C compressor front nut (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the A/C compressor front nut (2) to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  5. Tighten the A/C compressor rear bolt (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the A/C compressor rear bolt (1) to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
