Drive Belt Tensioner: Service and Repair


Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the drive belt.
2. Remove the idler pulley.





3. Remove the drive belt tensioner bolts.
4. Remove the drive belt tensioner from the engine.

Installation Procedure





1. Position the drive belt tensioner to the engine.

2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the drive belt tensioner bolts.
1. Tighten the drive belt tensioner center bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
2. Tighten the drive belt tensioner outer bolts to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).

3. Install the idler pulley.
4. Install the drive belt.
