Removal Procedure

  1. Apply the parking brake.
  2. Position the transaxle shift lever to the LOW position.
  3. Remove the floor console trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Console Front .

  5. Remove the rear compartment mat.

  7. Remove the rear compartment bolts.
  8. Remove the bracket bolts rearward of the transaxle shift lever.

  10. Remove the horizontal bolts near the instrument panel (I/P).
  11. Remove the power accessory port. Refer to Accessory Power Receptacle Replacement - Floor Console in Power Outlets.
  12. Remove the floor console lighter. Refer to Cigar Lighter Housing Replacement - Floor Console in Power Outlets.

  14. Disconnect the wiring harness from the floor console.

  16. Pull the floor console rearward in order to release the retainers from the I/P.

  18. Depress the front edge of the shifter trim plate in order to pull back the floor console for removal.
  19. Remove the floor console from the vehicle.
