Installation Procedure

Fig 1: I/P Compartment Housing

Align the compartment housing to the I/P.
Press inward on both sides of the I/P compartment housing and rotate upward and into the I/P.
Hand tighten the screws to the I/P compartment hinge.
Align the I/P compartment housing to the I/P for the proper fit.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the screws to the I/P compartment hinge.
Tighten: Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

Open the I/P compartment.
Connect the loop of the damper cord (1) to the I/P support.
Close the I/P compartment.
Install the right I/P insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right .
