Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the garnish molding from the right windshield pillar. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Windshield Pillar in Interior Trim.
  2. Lower the front of the headliner. Refer to Headliner Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Disconnect the antenna base lead.
  4. Remove the body mobile telephone antenna cable from the inner roof panel and the windshield pillar.

  5. Remove the right instrument panel (I/P) insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  6. Remove the right front carpet retainer. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement - Front in Interior Trim.
  7. Pull back the carpet for access.
  8. Disconnect the body antenna cable from the I/P mobile telephone antenna cable.

  9. Remove the body antenna cable.
  10. Disconnect the I/P antenna cable from the communication interface module by pulling down on the square plastic housing.

  11. Cut off the visible ends of the I/P antenna cable.
