Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Installation

Tools Required

J 45059 Angle Meter

Install the pushrod guide plate.
Install the push rods.
Install the valve rocker arm bearing retainer.
Coat the valve stem tip and pushrod tip with prelube GM P/N 1052367 (Canadian P/N 992869) or equivalent.
Install the valve rocker arms.

NOTE: Refer to Special Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Apply threadlocker GM P/N 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488) or equivalent to the valve rocker arm bolt threads.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the valve rocker arm bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the valve rocker arm bolts to 15 N.m (11 lb ft) plus 90 degrees using J 45059 .
