Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Fig 1: View Of Fuel Filter & Pipes

  3. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) purge pipe connector at the fuel filter area. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .
  4. Fig 2: Locating EVAP And Fuel Tank Components

  5. Disconnect the EVAP purge pipe (8) from the EVAP canister (1). Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .
  6. Remove the EVAP purge pipe (8).
