Diagnostic Aids

If DTC P1750 is cleared, then will not reset when the vehicle is driven, some of the following conditions may exist:

Fluid contamination
Plugged fluid circuits
Restricted fluid circuits

3	Install a scan tool. Turn OFF the ignition, with the engine OFF. IMPORTANT: Before clearing the DTCs, use the scan tool in order to record the Failure Records for reference. Using the Clear DTC Information function will erase the Failure Records from the PCM. Record the Freeze Frame and Failure Records. Clear the DTCs. Is DTC P0753 also set?	-	Go to DTC P0753	Go to Step 4
4	Accelerate the vehicle in D4 range, ensuring that the PCM commands 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears. With the scan tool, observe Commanded Gear and Gear Ratio for each gear. Did the gear ratios indicate a 1-1-3-4 shift pattern?	1st: 2.87:1 to 2.97:1 2nd: 1.52:1 to 1.62:1 3rd: 0.95:1 to 1.05:1 4th: 0.65:1 to 0.75:1	Go to Step 5	Go to Diagnostic Aids
5	Inspect the 1-2 shift valve/hydraulic circuit for the following conditions: The 1-2 shift solenoid mechanically stuck ON A stuck or binding 1-2 shift valve Damaged seals on the shift solenoid valve Refer to the following procedures: Shift Solenoid Leak Test Symptoms - Automatic Transmission Control Valve Body Disassemble (Without Touch Activated Power) Control Valve Body Disassemble (With Touch Activated Power) in Transmission Unit Repair article Did you find and correct the condition?	-	Go to Step 6	-
6	Perform the following procedure in order to verify the repair: Select DTC. Select Clear Information. Operate the vehicle under the following conditions: Drive the vehicle in D4. TP angle must be 5 percent or greater. The engine torque is 27-407 N.m (20-300 lb ft). Ensure that the gear ratio is correct for 2nd gear. Select Specific DTC. Enter DTC P1750. Has the test run and passed?	2nd: 1.52:1 to 1.62:1	Go to Step 7	Go to Step 2
7	With a scan tool, observe the stored information, capture info and DTC info. Does the scan tool display any DTCs that you have not diagnosed?	-	Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List in Engine Controls - 3.8L	System OK
