Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Catalytic Converter Movement Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Support the exhaust system.
  3. Remove the exhaust hanger insulator from the exhaust hanger bracket.
  4. Remove the exhaust hanger bracket bolt.
  5. Remove the exhaust hanger bracket.

  6. Remove the exhaust pipe rear hanger insulators from the exhaust muffler rear hanger bracket.

  7. Loosen the outboard rear bumper impact bar bolt.
  8. Remove the inboard rear bumper impact bar bolt.
  9. Remove the exhaust muffler rear hanger bracket.
