Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  3. Remove the rear wheel bearing/hub assembly. Refer to Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement - Rear .
  4. Separate the backing plate from the rear hub. Refer to Disc Brake Backing Plate Replacement - Rear in Disc Brakes.

  5. Use the J 6627-A  in order to extract the stud (1) from the hub (2).
