Removal Procedure

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
Remove the left rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
Remove the equalizer nut from the equalizer stud, which is part of the left rear cable.

Disconnect the cable button from the caliper lever.
Remove the wheel speed sensor harness clamp from the lower control arm.
Remove the left rear park brake cable from the caliper bracket.
Use J 37043 to depress the retaining tabs (1) on the left park brake cable. See Special Tools and Equipment .

Remove the left park brake cable from the bracket.
