Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the lower control arm. Refer to Lower Control Arm Replacement .
  2. Secure the lower control arm in a vice.
    3. Fig 1: Marking Lower Control Arm Along Flat Edge Of Bushing Flange

  3. Mark the lower control arm along the flat edge of the bushing flange.
    4. Fig 2: J 21474-27, J 21474-13, J 34126, J 35379, J 21474-2 & J 21474-4

    IMPORTANT: Apply J 23444-A  or equivalent to the threads of. See Special Tools and Equipment . J 21474-27 .
  4. Assemble the following bushing removal tools as shown:
    1. J 21474-27
    2. J 21474-13  . See Special Tools and Equipment .
    3. J 34126  . See Special Tools and Equipment .
    4. J 35379  . See Special Tools and Equipment .
    5. J 21474-2  . See Special Tools and Equipment .
    6. J 21474-4
  5. Tighten J 21474-4 .
  6. Disassemble the bushing removal tools.
