Cylinder Head Installation - Right

Tools Required

J 45059 Angle Meter. See Special Tools and Equipment .

Install the cylinder head gasket. Ensure the arrows point towards the front of the engine. The right cylinder head gasket has the letter R stamped next to the arrow.

NOTE: Refer to Special Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the cylinder head.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install new cylinder head bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the cylinder head bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft) in sequence. Using J 45059 rotate each cylinder head bolt an additional 120 degrees.
