Camshaft Removal

Remove the camshaft thrust plate screws.

Remove the camshaft thrust plate.
Install one 1/2-20 x 6.0 inch bolt in the camshaft front bolt hole.

IMPORTANT: All camshaft journals are the same diameter, so care must be used in removing the camshaft to avoid damage to the bearings.

Carefully rotate and pull the camshaft out of the bearings.
